Adopt a
Pet
You have been
thinking about getting a pet for a while, but the time was never right.
Now you have finally decided to get one. You know its going
to take a lot of your time, patience, money and dedication, but feel
you're ready.
Great! Where
should you get one? Why not try your local animal shelter! They have
lots of animals to chose from. Mutts, Purebreds, Cats, Young, Old, and
in between. By adopting an animal from
a shelter you give an animal a second chance. Adopt from a animal
shelter, It's the right thing to do.
These are some shelters in the NYC area:
The ASPCA at 424 E. 92nd street, NYC Phone:1-212-876-7700
They have one of the best adoption programs in the country. The kennels are always clean and the staff is always helpful and polite. They go out of their way for the animals and for the people looking to adopt them.
Humane Society of New York at 326 E. 59th street, NYC Phone:1-212-752-4840
